5 Writing Prompts to Spark Your Creativity

Are you facing writer's block? Struggling to find inspiration for your next piece? Don't worry; I've got you covered! Check out these writing prompts authors can use to foster creativity and get those creative juices flowing.





  • "The Last Message" : Create a narrative around a character discovering a message of some sort and how it changes their lives forever.

  • "Each of the senses" : Explain the feeling of dipping your toes into cool water on a hot summer day. Explain the smell of your favorite flower and all the feelings it evokes.

  • "Outside" : Step outside and write a narrative about your surroundings.

  • "Ominous": Write an ominous narrative about a character feeling like someone is watching them.

  • "Trash to treasure" : Find an item in your home and write a narrative about a character using, finding, or destroying this item. Give the item a lot of significance.


Remember, every great story starts with a single idea - and these prompts are sure to ignite that spark of creativity within you. Each of my novels started with a single writing prompt and blossomed into stories with multiple characters living in their own worlds.
